Is There Really a World Population Control Conspiracy As Some Conspiracy Theorists Are Claiming?
Yes, There Is - Learn the Truth!
Would Modern 'Environmentalists' “Fire” God?
In his article, Population Control Agenda Part Two, Dr Stan Monteith MD makes an interesting claim:
'In 1970 the National Academy of Sciences, in their book Life Sciences, stated that, "In little more than two decades DDT has prevented 500 million deaths due to malaria."
To population control advocates, this preservation of human life was intolerable, so they set out to outlaw further use of the pesticide. Up until 1970 all reliable scientific data had consistently demonstrated that DDT was safe for both humans and animals. Indeed, DDT was the safest pesticide ever known to mankind. Furthermore, it was inexpensive and could be widely used in third-world countries to control the spread of insect-borne diseases.
Who is Paul R Ehrlich?
Trained as an entomologist specializing in Lepidoptera (butterflies), Paul R. Ehrlich, (born in Philadelphia in 1932), is far better known as an ecologist for his warnings about unchecked human population growth and limited resources. Paul R. Ehrlich (not to be confused with Paul Ehrlich, 1854-1915, the German immunology/hematology researcher) became a household name after the publication of his controversial 1968 book, The Population Bomb. However, there is no question that many of Ehrlich's arguments and claims - especially of doom striking several countries within quite a short space of time - have been quite comprehensively demolished, yet Ehrlich, despite being found truly wanting as a failed 'prophet of doom,' is again becoming something of a vogue and cult figure among the more extreme, leftist, depopulation environmentalists.
Accordingly, population control adherents set out to have DDT banned in the name of saving the environment. You probably remember the contrived stories declaring that DDT caused softening of eggshells, interfered with the balance of nature, and endangered humanity by entering the food chain. In truth, all of those stories were fabricated and part of a carefully coordinated program to block further use of the lifesaving pesticide.' (More on this article source at article ending).
This is very interesting since the claim here is clearly that there is a worldwide agenda – a largely hidden one at that – to drastically reduce world population. In fact, many conspiracy theorists have believed this for many years but, increasingly, others too (not from a conspiracy theory background/leaning) are taking up this line of reasoning. Have you ever wondered, for example, how abortion got accepted, put into practise and how it achieved such normative and unchallengeable status so easily in countries with such a powerful Christian heritage? I must admit that I have wondered about this; Britain, the United States and Europe have strong Christian heritages – how could these places have become such bastions of abortion in such a short space of time? The conclusion appears inescapable that even before certain laws were quite openly passed in Britain, Europe and the U.S., certain people must surely have been working quietly behind the scenes, with much preparation work, deals being done and alliances being forged in order to ensure smooth passage of the new laws! Indeed, I would have to say that I believe that no intelligent person could possibly arrive at any other conclusion!
I have written elsewhere (see my article Are We Getting the Whole Truth?) of the conspirational, 'out of the public gaze' moves which were always necessary before major changes in society – there is nothing strange or new in any of this.
Back in the late1950s/early 1960s I vividly recall the first surge of the population control hysteria. We were told that by the early 1970s India, for example, would be finished as a major country because of that country's ever-burgeoning population and lack of food. The whole thing would implode, we were warned, with internal strife and turmoil. Of course, we now know that the hysteria was entirely unwarranted and unfounded and India and the Indian economy is one of the great success stories of the late 20th century! No major internal strife and no food wars caused India to implode at all, rather, India turned into a major and self-confident modern nation.
With such a wildly inaccurate background, I was surprised that the (so-called) environmentalists (why do these people seem so disinterested in people but so concerned about animals, soil and plant life?) again started moving yet again in a firmly population control direction a few years ago. But now, the suspicion is that they scream a little less but probably conspire a whole lot more!
The late, and much-respected, University of Maryland economist Julian Simon (1932-1998) was an important voice here. Best known for his work on population, natural resources, and immigration, Simon's work covers 'cornucopian' views on lasting economic benefits from natural resources and continuous population growth. Simon was prepared to 'swim against the tide' of flawed depopulation screamers and many of his reflections have proven to be highly valid. Simon saw humanity not as a plague of locusts but, rather, as what he called "the ultimate resource" (also the title of his 1981 book). "The standard of living has risen along with the size of the world's population since the beginning of recorded time," Simon observed in that book. "And with increases in income and population have come less severe shortages, lower costs, and an increased availability of resources." Simon demonstrated that population surges were always temporary but, more vitally, always provided more people who could solve problems. Most importantly, he had the lessons of history on his side.
Of course, the concept of population control has several tentacles. Apart from the widespread acceptance that abortion is a perfectly reasonable practice (which all Christians must reject), we are also increasingly being encouraged to think that :
Euthansia is acceptable!
We have recently witnessed the terrible Terri Schiavo affair in the States and there have been several similar cases in the UK. We are also increasingly seeing doctors declaring that sick babies should not be resuscitated! In two recent UK cases parents have had to go to the British High Court in an attempt to force hospitals not to withdraw treatment from their sick children – in both cases, however, the High Court has refused the parents and backed up the authority of the doctors!
A British doctor with 25 years experience of general practise who asked me not to reveal his name (why is it that I suspect conspiracies when people tell me that I can quote them but not use their name??) said this:
'It is becoming frightening. A few years ago we were all (doctors, that is) saying what a success story premature babies were because quite small premature babies now frequently survive, but now the move is strongly towards promoting the view that premature babies almost always have a poorer quality of life and learning difficulties and perhaps their survival is not good! This makes me shudder! Where are we going? In Hitler's Germany doctors were actively encouraged to quietly put sick and handicapped children to death because they were weakening the genetic stock – I hope I am wrong but with the general movement towards encouraging us to think that euthanasia is acceptable, I fear Nazi-like 'superhuman' eugenics could be on the way!!'
On a more world-wide scale, much of the new aggressive attitude towards reducing world population comes from 1960s writers like Paul R. Ehrlich. He said this:
"We must cut out the cancer of population growth. Coercion? Perhaps, but coercion in a good cause [population control] ... We must be relentless in pushing for population control."
(Paul R. Ehrlich, The Population Bomb, 1968)
Ehrlich, one of the chief population scaremongers and 'prophets of doom', warned us that mass starvation would strike the North American continent by the mid 1980s! Now, of course, far from the horrifying scenario which Ehrlich had predicted, the United States and Canada actually have tens of thousands of weight-loss clinics, and diet books routinely occupy the New York Times bestseller list! The point is, these people have proved wholly unreliable in their forecasts of dire food shortages caused by over-population, but despite this, environmentalists of a certain sort (the high on hysteria and low on knowledge and common sense sort) continue to support their arguments. Yet many books are now available which overturn the claims of people like Ehrlich, including The Myth of Planetary Overpopulation (1988), by Dr Jacqueline Kasun, Humboldt State University, California.
Despite the fact that the arguments of some of these population control “experts” are surprisingly easy to refute, many of these people are again enjoying influence in 'high places'.
Since the advocacy of birth control and contraception on a world-wide level will not now achieve what some environmentalists insist must be achieved - all on its own - some commentators fear that we could be heading towards a situation in which diseases and wars are purposely 'planted' or 'allowed to prosper' in the Third World as a means of population control (of course, a few insist that this has already happened – is African Aids really uncontrollable? Also, the apparently unwarranted banning of life-saving DDT, the entirely preventable holocaust of Rwanda etc.etc.)
But more – many also believe that western society itself could be headed in a really sinister direction in which premature births are disallowed and euthansia will be enforced for all over-80s!! If you think this is an utterly preposterous suggestion, just ponder that only back in the 1950s – not really all that long ago! – millions of governmentally sanctioned abortions per year would have been thought of as completely monstrous and unthinkable! It could never happen in our land, we might well have said, yet now it is a reality which is calmly accepted by 'reasonable people' – who was it who said that 'All that is needed for evil men to prosper is for good men to do nothing'??.
So who is really behind the conspiracy to drastically reduce the world population? Who are the chief plotters?
Many shadowy organisations/groups have been named including the Illuminati and a secret council of world bankers (it would certainly be highly in the interest of the super-wealthy to have a far smaller world population represented by just one world government), and others. I do not claim to know the extent to which any particular groups – whether the aforementioned, or others might have any involvement, but I do know who the real architect of population control is!! It is none other than that wily old serpent, Satan the Devil who has deceived millions into believing that he does not even exist! We need to understand that just as God is the Creator, Satan constantly seeks to destroy the human creation in any way that he can.
So God is the Creator and Granter of human life - From Genesis to Revelation human life is presented as a gift of God – but a gift which reaches its highest expression where men and women offer praise, thanksgiving and worship back to God, their Creator! God is the author of a world-wide population of men and women who were created in His very image! But Satan has sought to destroy people from the time that he inspired Cain to murder Abel. Then at the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11:1-9) he plotted to bring human history to a far swifter conclusion than God had planned, thereby making countless millions of later births unnecessary – this was Satan's first attempt at population control, but he has never ceased trying! Why does he always seek to prevent human births? Because he hates the thought of countless millions of people from inheriting 'all things' in the kingdom of God! He is jealous because he has always lusted for God's authority, power and glory for himself (Isaiah 14:12-15).
Humanly, there are times where 'population control' might seem to be the answer to human problems, but it never is and our Lord has a different agenda which He is completely open about rather than being conspirational; His agenda is not humanly restrictive, but humanly expansive! Compare the teaching of these Scriptures with the teaching of those who tell us that people are bad for the planet:
'God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”' (Genesis 1:28).
'Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth. The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands.”' (Genesis 9:1-2).
'I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore...' (Genesis 22:17).
'For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end....' (Isaiah 9:6-7).
'”Then will all your people be righteous and they will possess the land for ever. They are the shoot I have planted, the work of my hands, for the display of my splendour. The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. A am the LORD; in its time I will do this swiftly.”' (Isaiah 60:21-22).
'Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.' (Matthew 5:5).
'He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.' (Revelation 21:7).
So, in contrast to the environmentalists teaching that people are bad for this planet, the very Creator of Heaven and Earth teaches that people – especially righteous people - are good for this planet, and many people are a blessing! There is no doubt that – in the light of the preceding biblical satatements – modern environmentalists would 'fire' God !!
So there really is a population control conspiracy at work in the modern world – to what extent various councils/secret societies are involved in this I could not hazard a guess – but the real author of the conspiracy (Satan) has long plotted to destroy the human race, yet will finally fail miserably!
