Website Plan - How We Proceed...

Here is the Museltof Web Design plan. Please note the customer-friendly simplicity:

1. FIRST of all, before even involving us, you need to think through exactly why you want a website and how you think it will best serve your club, church, society, restaurant, club or small business.

We could give you many tips here - ALL such enterprises need a website in this technologically sophisticated 21st century in order to make their various services or products known to a much wider audience! Having a website can mean that your organisation can go from only being known in one town, to being known nationally, and very soon, internationally!

Then,

* Make some notes as to preferred overall web page colour/colouration. Is there a society, or company colour, for example?
* Think about your club, church, society or restaurant logo. Do you have one?
* Think carefully about how the enterprise or initiative which you represent should present itself, theme-wise.
* Once those things are thought through (we might make suggestions, but - overall - these are your areas of responsibility), next you should thoroughly read the five pages of this site to check out exactly what we offer, plus our modest charge, then you should e mail me to discuss exactly what you require.
* Specifically, take a look at our 'Our Expertise' page because at the bottom of that page we show several mock-up possible homepages - this will illustrate what we can achieve. Taking a look at these examples can quickly isolate the sort of small website you prefer for your shop, society, church, club, restaurant etc. Recently, for instance, somebody said, "I want our website to be a bit similar to your example '7' but having more mid-blue colour predominating." We produced something which was enthusiastically accepted within just 3 hours!
* Upon receipt of your cheque (sorry - no online paying system at present; I still have security questions about some of these systems), I will request you to send me a few photographs of your enterprise (that is, if you haven't already sent them to me), quality, colour photographs - but they don't have to be digital), including a good outside view of your building (if appropriate), a view of friendly smiling staff, plus a depiction of any logo, a statement of actually what your enterprise accomplishes, with its goals. Actually, to save time, these things could be sent with your cheque. Once I receive these things (the photos can actually be sent by e mail), I will start sketching out a design which I will place on a web page for your inspection. This will initially be somewhat approximate until I get a better idea of what is required, although sometimes my first suggestion is quickly accepted.
* Some thought needs to be given to how many web pages are required. In 95% of cases, no more than 4-12 pages will be found to be more than sufficient. I am only interested in setting up these smaller websites. If your business is huge and you want an entire 'shop-cart' on-line system to sell a vast array of products, you need to go to one of the large web design companies. We specialize in small - that gives us many advantages over larger companies who are usually disinterested in setting up smaller websites.

Now check out the links in the right column for more information, including design examples.
