A Question I Was Asked:

Surely Revelation 14 Shows Us Two Classes of Saved People?

Do you see a separation in Revelation 14 between the saved of the Church and another group who can also be saved? I have always seen this and sometimes wondered why more Bible teachers have not brought this point out more clearly. What is your opinion?

I absolutely and totally agree and I too have wondered why some - especially hard-line hyper-Calvinists (who believe that only a very small group can ever be saved) - have failed to pick up this point. The problem, of course, is a philosophy as applied to Scripture; Calvinistic Restrictivism does not allow for any group other than the Elect (a very small group according to Calvinists) to be saved from earth. This is maintained despite the clarity of quite a few Scriptures which show that it cannot be a true understanding of Holy Scripture. Such Scriptures include Matthew 25:31-46; Luke 15:2-32; Luke 19:10; John 1:9,29; John 3:16-17; John 4:42; John 6:33,51; John 12:31-32; Acts 10:1-35; Acts 14:16-17; Acts 17:23-28; Romans 2:6-16; Romans 5:6,15-20; Romans 11:12,15. 1 Cor. 15:24-28. 2 Cor. 5:14-15,19; Ephesians 1:10; Philippians 2:10-11; Colossians 1:20. 1 Timothy 2:4,6. 1 Timothy 4:10; Titus 2:11; Hebrews 2:9; James 1:27. 2 Peter 3:9. 1 John 2:2. 1 John 4:14 etc., but there are more too.

Here is a link to a chart graphic which I have devised to show that Revelation 14 definitely discusses two different groups on this earth for whom Eternal Life is a possibility. Please look at it.
