A Question I Was Asked:

Why Don't You Expose All Cults and Sects?

You don't have exposures of every cult on your website, just certain ones. The ones you do have are very very good but many very strange groups seem to escape your attention. What would you say about this?

UK Apologetics Reply:

Okay, what you say is a fair comment. There are certain websites out there which really do seem to cover almost every cult and sect out there, yet even they cannot keep up with all the new ones. However, this website never set out to be an exposure of every single odd and strange group which perverts the words of Scripture, in fact, that would be an almost impossible task. UK Apologetics is primarily Christian Apologetics, that is, we set out to both explain and to defend the Christian Faith. This means we spread our wings much wider than those websites which are purely concerned with the cults and sects. We go to war against all concepts and philosophies which seek to attack, dilute and undermine the teachings of Christ and of Scripture; teachings which we believe to be divinely-inspired. So we attack the trends of modern liberal culture, we attack naturalism, for example, as it manifests itself in modern science. Why do we attack it? Because it fully supports atheism, telling people that no supernatural world even exists, only a physical world.

So Christian Apologetics is a wide area, it not only defends but also more fully explains the Christian Faith. We are prepared to go into details. UK Apologetics, then, is about the business of fully explaining and defending Christianity. It is not purely and narrowly just about exposing the various cults and sects. Hopefully, however, the teachings one will find on this website will arm and equip one to more valiantly and successfully defend the Faith; this is my dream: an army of Christians who - thoroughly grounded in the Scriptures - can go forth and - in the power of the Spirit - take on all-comers who attack the precious truth of the Gospel.

Look at what Paul told the Ephesians:

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6: 13-17).

Scripture makes it clear that there is a battle to be won: are we or are we not 'up for the fight'?
