Huge Escaped Criminal Blunder Hits the UK

How Much Longer Can Hyper-Liberal Britain Blunder Onwards?

A Right-Wing Backlash Must Be Growing Ever Closer...

...Decisions were made behind closed doors (there is no question that certain elements in Harold Wilson's 1960s "trendy" Labour Government played a major role in this), to turn previously strongly Christian Britain into a liberal and permissive society...

H ere in the UK it has recently emerged that hundreds of dangerous criminals are at large in the country due to serious administrative errors by the present government. Of these, almost 200 are foreign nationals who should have been deported upon completion of their sentences.

The error is of such magnitude that many of these people were released on licence even after they were informed of their impending deportation. The news of this specific 200 follows the amazing announcement - just days earlier, that 954 criminals who were released under a highly controversial 'early release scheme,' had been recalled to jail for breaking their licence agreements. But red-faced government officials admitted that these 954 people had not yet (in June, 2009) been tracked down by over-burdened police. The Daily Mail newspaper has learned that, of the 954, 192 are foreign nationals. Of these, 64 have committed crimes of such gravity that they should have been immediately deported following the conclusion of their sentences (source: Dail Mail, Wednesday, July 8, 2009, page 17). In fact, these people were shown an open prison door and invited to walk straight through it!

This is just the latest in a series of serious scandals which have affected the British Home Office since 2005. In 2006, it emerged that 1,000 overseas inmates were freed from prison without even being considered for deportation. Tory home affairs spokesman Chris Grayling said,

"This is fast turning into a major scandal. The failure to deport foreign criminals after they are released...has already cost the job of one Home Secretary, people simply will not understand why ministers have failed to get to grips with this problem." (source: as above).

The 954 at-large criminals are said to include 20 murderers, 15 rapists and 5 paedophiles; of those who have already re-offended (claimed to be around 60), rape is included in the crimes.

A backlash to hyper-liberal Britain can surely not be too long coming

Under all normal circumstances, any foreign national who serves more that one year in a British prison, should automatically be considered for deportation, but in just one year (2008), a staggering 5,400 were simply released back into British society!

As if all the above were not bad enough, various legal restrictions due to mis-placed "human rights" considerations have meant that two separate British police forces have refused to publish any names or pictures of local criminals who are included in this number in case they accidentally infringe on their rights! This must be regarded as an utterly crazy scenario by any standards!!

This is yet another example of how hyper-liberal modern Britain has become paralyzed in it's refusal to dogmatically uphold centuries-long principles of justice and human decency. Human rights legislation has become so intrinsic and pervasive (but seemingly always in favour of the offender), that freedom of speech - long a great and very noble British tradition - must now frequently take cover to avoid litigation. While these major blunders in the criminal system are probably nothing to do with "human rights," the fear to act decisively without first checking out the various legalities (those legalities which the present British government has greatly expanded), is simply to give the lawbreaker and criminal too much freedom to exploit the system wherever possible.

Long ago in the United Kingdom, decisions were made behind closed doors (there is no question that certain elements in Harold Wilson's 1960s "trendy" Labour Government played a major role in this), to turn previously strongly Christian Britain into a liberal and permissive society. The result of this experiment has been amazingly weak leadership, moral despair, over-protectiveness towards criminals and a repudiation of human decency and nobility throughout large sections of British life. A backlash to hyper-liberal Britain can surely not be too long coming. Many Britons are looking to an incoming Tory (Conservative) government to radically change things; a national general election must occur within a year, however, deeply worryingly, present Conservative Party leader David Cameron has gone on record as a committed liberal who stands apart from 'traditional conservative values.'

Yet that right-wing backlash must surely come; history has proven it....
