A Christian Eye on Politics
From the BBC News website of Tuesday, November 27th, comes this report,
"The UK population could almost double over the coming 75 years, according to official government projections.
The previously unpublished figures suggest the British population could hit almost 110m in 2081, if immigration fertility and longevity rates are high."
Of course, the one thing which such reports usually fail to explain is
that the fertility rates of the ethnic British have no bearing on these
figures; those figures are very low, indeed they would be too low to maintain
British prosperity. This has been widely understood (but very successfully
pushed under the carpet), for some while. At least this particular report
very accurately stressed that "immigration fertility" has some bearing on
these calculations. Official figures show that 154,000 of the 749,000 births which occurred in Britain in 2006 - that is, 21 per cent - were to immigrants. This compared to 12 per cent in 1996 and 15 per cent in 2001. This surge in such births has caused widespread astonishment. As the Daily Telegraph reported on 12/12/07,
"Fertility rates are at levels not seen for 25 years, with the highest found among Pakistani, Indian or Bangladeshi-born mothers. Those nationalities alone accounted for five per cent of all British babies last year.
A further four per cent were born to mothers from EU countries outside Britain and Ireland, with a growing number from eastern Europe - mainly Poland.
The Pakistani rate of 4.7 children per mother is almost three times the British-born rate of 1.7."

Militant Islamics demonstrate outside Westminster Cathedral in London at the time of the 2006 comments by the pope on the subject of Islam. Astonishingly, many placards openly called, not only for the killing of the pope, but for the death of Christianity. Police meekly stood by.
People born overseas now account for an astonishing one in eight of the
UK's working age population (source BBC News, 17th October, 2007;
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7047610.stm). However, the situation for new jobs which have become available since 1997 is even more amazing: According to the 'Statistics Commission' (set up by the present government in order to check the validity of its own figures!), 1.4 million workers born abroad have taken jobs in Britain since 1997; this is 81% of the 1.7 million jobs for people of working age which have appeared since then (source: The Daily Mail lead article, December 11th, 2007).
Overseas companies come to cities like London intending to recruit Britons, but astonishingly find that native Britons are mostly unavailable to them! Where are all the Britons?? Presumably, they either already have secure employment, or are financially independent, or.....well, who knows??
Of course, the terrible truth is that abortion
has robbed the Anglo-Saxon peoples, and Europeans in general, of millions of
future citizens and Europe is increasingly reliant on immigration from
countries where abortion is either illegal, or strongly discouraged. So the
expected surge in the UK population is almost entirely based on immigration.
However, government officials and other liberal social planners continue to
deny that a crisis of 'Britishness' is fast looming. Astonishingly, the
British government has recently been forced to admit that it has no reliable
figures for real immigration, or how long "visitors" to the UK have been
here, or how long they expect to stay. In addition, it is known that during
the last ten years thousands of illegal immigrants were never deported but
simply disappeared back into the British system.
It is simply impossible to believe that such laxity has not been the
result of certain 'behind the scenes' manoeuvres to ease a looming crisis, but
without openly informing the British populace of that potential crisis. The
truth is that Britain was rapidly heading for becoming a third world country
in real economic clout because of an incredible drop in anticipated
population levels - only really 'open' immigration could start to solve that
crisis, so, it seems, that door really was left wide open for quite a number
of years. Surely few things in modern British history could have been so
carefully engineered without being openly and frankly admitted?? Political conspiracy theorists certainly hold an 'ace in their cards' here. How could this have happened unless there really are 'unseen movers' who have higher authority than elected politicians (yet are never seen, and whose names are unknown), who have managed to silently engineer this? As far
as projected population goes, it seems to have worked, but innate
"Britishness" has suffered and these islands now have millions of
inhabitants who do not share British, or even western ideals. Two huge British cities,
London and Birmingham, are now well down the road towards English no longer being
the majority spoken language, while a third city, Leicester, has now almost reached that point.
An additional
huge influx of people from eastern Europe has led to a fearful surge in
opportunistic and petty crime in major British town centres. The EC's 'open
door' policy has been forced on Britain by Brussels without as much as a
whimper of protest being heard and without sufficient controls to prevent
east European criminals spreading to the west.
Crime has also soared as ruthless racketeers abuse foreign workers for cheap labour. When police uncover some of these temporary and seasonal work scams which appeal so much to immigrants, they are often amazed to find that large numbers of grossly and illegally underpaid workers cannot even speak a word of English!
UK Apologetics is not - and never will be - racist but we do question many of the assumptions of "Multi-culturalism." Most Britons value 'Britishness' and do not want a seriously diluted culture; welcoming those fleeing persecution is one thing, and we British have always been generous here, but the current situation is far beyond that. Multi-culturalism also affects religion and now at least two major London churches (including, I am informed, Westminster Cathedral), have several times had Islamic groups protesting against Christianity outside their gates on Sundays! This reached a peak during the pope's comments on Islam in 2006. The typical British way is simply to ignore it, and yet, if Christian groups started counter-protests outside mosques few doubt that violence would result. It would result because many such peoples simply do not understand British culture, including tolerance for those of differing religious, artistic and cultural opinions. Freedom of speech and freedom of religion are enshrined in British culture as is respect for minorities. The British have been astonished that various groups live among them - many even having become British citizens - who have no understanding of, and even less respect for, British culture.
Right now a total ban on all British abortion should come into place - unfortunately, it will not, and so Christians must continue their painful sojourn in an ungodly land.
